Baby Green Rapidion Cabbage is a miniature, fast-growing cabbage variety with compact, round heads and smooth, tender green leaves. Ideal for small spaces, containers, and quick succession planting. It has a mild, sweet taste, making it excellent for fresh salads, light stir-fries, or quick pickling. The heads are typically ready to harvest early, often within 45–60 days.

Sowing Time
Spring to early summer
In mild climates, you can sow again in late summer to autumn for a fall crop
Sowing Method
Best started in modules or trays, then transplanted
Can also be direct sown in prepared beds
Spacing & Depth
Sow depth: 0.5–1 cm
Transplant spacing: 25–30 cm apart in rows 30–40 cm apart
Perfect for tight gardens or raised beds
Sunlight
Full sun is ideal (at least 6 hrs/day)
Will tolerate light partial shade
Soil
Fertile, well-draining soil enriched with compost
pH around 6.5–7.0 is best
Watering
Keep soil consistently moist, especially as heads start to form

Harvesting
Harvest when heads feel firm and dense, usually at 10–15 cm in diameter
Cut at the base with a sharp knife
Can be picked early for baby greens or left slightly longer for firmer heads
Common Pests & Problems
Cabbage White Butterfly (Caterpillars)
Symptoms: Chewed holes in leaves, green droppings
Control: Use mesh netting; inspect and remove caterpillars by hand
Aphids
Symptoms: Curling/distorted leaves, sticky honeydew
Control: Blast with water, neem oil, or soapy spray
Slugs & Snails
Symptoms: Irregular holes, especially on young seedlings
Control: Slug traps, copper tape, or hand-picking at dusk
Downy Mildew / Fungal Leaf Spot
Symptoms: Yellow/brown spots on leaves, fuzzy underside
Prevention: Ensure good spacing, water at base, rotate crops
Clubroot
